CASUAL TRADING
The Casual Trading Act 1995 provides the legislative framework for casual trading. Ballinasloe Town Council adopted the “Casual Trading Bye – Laws 2003” on the 13th May 2003 and they subsequently came into operation on the 2nd June 2003. These Bye-Laws revoked the Council’s Bye-Laws made and adopted on 4th May 1999.
The current bye-laws allows for casual trading to take place on the Saturday of each week (public holidays excluded) between the hours of 9am and 6pm in 34 designated bays in St. Michael’s Square, running from the 1st of July to 30th June of each year.
