The Croí Clontuskert Community Development team are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Clontuskert Fun Day on Sunday 23 August. Running from 2pm – 5pm, the event offers great value with admission just €5 per adult (children go free).

A highlight of the day will be a performance by Seamus Moore and there will be plenty of other live music throughout the afternoon. There will be lots to keep all ages entertained, with a fantastic selection of local sports clubs showcasing their activities and giving visitors the opportunity to have a go.

Clubs attending include: Clontuskert rounders, Kiltormer GAA and Camogie clubs, Ballinasloe volleyball club, Kilconnell cricket club, and Ballinasloe badminton club.

For those with a competitive streak, there will be children’s races and a 5-a-side soccer tournament, while younger visitors can also enjoy face painting, an arts and crafts area, and the Hang Tough challenge.

Visitors will also have the chance to learn more about the area’s rich history with the Clontuskert Heritage Group while there will be a cake sale, with coffee/tea, ice cream and burgers on sale too.

The Croí Clontuskert Summer Raffle draw will also take place on the day. Raffle tickets are available in advance through iDonate or from any committee member. Funds raised will go towards the refurbishment of the community building at Clontuskert Pitch.

The day promises to be a wonderful community event. Everyone is welcome, so come along and support your community.
