Fourth class in Creagh National School had a fantastic day at the first Lego League Showcase Event at ATU Galway. As part of the Unearthed project, the children explored how technology can help pupils learn about and protect the past. They confidently presented their projects and enjoyed seeing the creations from schools across Galway. The class also got a tour of the robotics lab at ATU Galway, making the day even more exciting and inspiring.

The Creagh N.S. Sports Quiz team represented the school proudly at the Cumann na mBunscol All-Ireland Sports Quiz Final in Tullamore recently. Competing against some of the best school teams in the country, the boys finished in an excellent 5th place overall in Ireland. They showcased fantastic knowledge of GAA and sport in general throughout the competition. It was a tremendous achievement and a credit to the boys’ hard work, teamwork and enthusiasm for sport.

Meanwhile, the school’s footballers enjoyed a wonderful day in Croke Park as part of the Allianz Rewards Pitch Day. The boys had the opportunity to play matches on the hallowed turf against schools from Killarney, Gorey and West Clare. It was a fantastic experience for all and one the children will remember for many years to come.
