Ballinasloe’s Multicultural Midsummer Festival returns on Saturday, June 20th, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, bringing the community together at the Fair Green and Emerald Ballroom. This vibrant family event celebrates cultural diversity and community spirit through a rich programme of activities and entertainment.
Following the huge success of last year’s event, we are inviting community groups, organisations and clubs to get involved once again and help make this year even bigger and better.
The event will once again feature:
• Multicultural cuisine and live performances in the Emerald Ballroom
• Interactive games, workshops, sports and taster sessions on the Fair Green
• Emergency services displays and family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon
We are currently reaching out to:
• Sports clubs and activity groups – to host activities on the Fair Green
• State agencies and emergency services – to provide demonstrations and engagement activities
• Multicultural groups – to showcase food, music, dance and cultural traditions
• Community and voluntary organisations – to host information stands and engage with the public
Inside the Emerald Ballroom, attendees can enjoy a tapestry of multicultural cuisine and live performances, with food stalls offering delicious dishes from around the world. There will also be a full programme of music, dance, and cultural entertainment, showcasing the talents and traditions of the town’s diverse communities—a chance to experience global culture without leaving town!
Outside on the Fair Green, the focus will be on movement, play, and participation with a wide range of sporting activities for all ages. From fun “Give it a Go” games to demonstrations and taster sessions run by local clubs and volunteers, this is an ideal opportunity for families to try something new in a relaxed, friendly environment.
