"Fiadh was born on the 2nd of July, 2015 in Portiuncula Hospital. She was rushed straight to SCBU (Special Care Baby Unit) Portiuncula as she was struggling to breathe on her own. X-rays showed some heart defects and she was transferred to Paediatric ICU at Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin at 8pm that evening. Results of further tests showed that she had Edwards Syndrome also known as Trisomy 18, a condition medically referred to as, "incompatible with life". Fiadh passed away on July 14th @ 8pm, 12 days old. Only for the wonderful care given to Fiadh in both Portiuncula & Crumlin, we would not have had these 12 precious days with her. As a result of this care, Fiadh was able to meet her sister & brother and extended family. During her short time with us, Fiadh touched so many lives and has left an everlasting imprint on all our lives. "There are many Who have lived long lives, And not been loved As much as me" By parents, Carmel and James
