Second Muticultural Festival Enjoys Sunny Success

The Ballinasloe Mid-Summer Multicultural Festival once again proved to be a wonderful celebration of diversity, inclusion and community spirit, with hundreds of people enjoying an afternoon of culture, music, sport and family fun in glorious sunshine.

Hosted across the Emerald Ballroom and Fair Green, the festival featured multicultural cuisine, live music and dance performances, interactive sports and games, emergency services displays, community information and activities for all ages. The event highlighted and showcased Ballinasloe’s Multicultural & Sporting communities while bringing people together in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

The organising committee would like to thank everyone who helped make the festival such a success, including SICAP Galway Rural Development, BACD CLG, Gateway Credit Union, Ballinasloe Lions Club, Galway County Council, Galway Sports Partnership, Ballinasloe Tidy Towns, An Garda Síochána, Civil Defence, Fr. Garvey and the Parish Administrators, all participating schools, sports clubs, community organisations, performers, cuisine hosts, volunteers and our MCs, Darren and Brian.

The festival continues to grow each year thanks to the collaboration and commitment of so many organisations and volunteers.

Save the Date: The Ballinasloe Mid-Summer Multicultural Festival will return on Saturday, 19th June 2027, with organisers looking forward to welcoming even more groups  and  visitors for another fantastic celebration.
