Ballinasloe Town Team were delighted with the turnout for their “Maximising your Business’s Potential” Seminar held in Gullanes Hotel On Wednesday 28th September in association with RBK & AIB. Tara Flynn from the Town Team Stated ”we were delighted with the feedback we got from the large number that attended. We tried to ensure that the topics covered on the night would be appropriate for as many businesses as possible and with thanks to AIB and RBK who sourced the speakers for us, we feel this was achieved”. On the night Mr Evan Cusask, Regional Manager of AIB Galway, opened proceedings followed by Brian Scannell of Senergy Consultants who spoke about energy efficiency in business. RBK Accountants then had two speakers namely Ms. Fiona Murphy, Taxation Director who spoke on Topical Tax Issues and Mr Chris Ball, Corporate Finance Partner, who spoke about Strategies for Growth. In attendance on the night were Ms. Maeve Carty, Assistant Manager AIB Ballinasloe & Mr. John Stanford, Business Relationship Manager AIB, Ballinasloe, Mr. David Gleeson, Managing Partner RBK and Mr. Alan Shaw, Audit and Business Advisory Director RBK, along with members of the town team, staff from AIB branch Ballinasloe and almost 50 representatives from different businesses in the Ballinasloe Area ranging from dance instructors & building contractors to retailers. Seamus Duffy from the town team then wrapped up the evening giving a brief overview of some of the projects carried out by the Town Team to date namely People of the Year Awards, Garbally Zombie Walk, Ballinasloe.ie, Business Networking Events, Ballinasloe Sports Hub, European Christmas Tree & the Ballinasloe Leaflet Drop. Ballinasloe Town Team is a sub group of Ballinasloe Area Community Development Ltd striving towards the ecomonic and social development of Ballinasloe and its hinterland.
