Grow remote is a nationwide network across Ireland bridging the gap between community, company and employee to support the creation of working from home or in a co-location, in towns and villages of rural Ireland. From Valentia to Letterkenny, Castlebar to Tubercurry, Gorey to Caherciveen, and many in between, there are circa 56 chapters across the country with over 600 members and growing by the day. Chapters meet regularly, either over video call or face to face, and support each other to bring the remote working community together. As eloquently said by co-founder, Tracy Keogh, 'Talent and skills are distributed evenly throughout the country, but opportunity is not'. Grow Remote seeks to address this gap by bringing parties together, create the possibility of retaining more talent in the local community, so everyone can benefit ! More time with family, lower commuting costs, more money in circulation in the locality, more time spent in the community. From research we know there are over 200,000 remote jobs already in Ireland, so let's have more of them being carried out in Ballinasloe and East Galway! Grow Remote has spread its wings outside Ireland and currently there are chapters in Portugal, California, Canary Islands, Germany. If you are working from home or if you would like to find out about remote roles, or if you are seeking talent for your company, that can work from home, get in touch and join up on the Ballinasloe Chapter Looking forward to meeting for coffee and a chat Thursday 14th March at 7pm to talk about Grow Remote!
Bottom line, compliance is often seen as a necessary evil, especially if it is driven by regulation or legislation rather than customer demand. The work to ensure compliance is often seen as something that must be done rather than something that should be done in a way that can add value and not just prevent an undesirable event or outcome.
The Compliance Team are not only here to lend you a helping hand, whatever your compliance needs, but we do so in a way that can help you achieve better processes, reduced administration and overall add value to your business. We do this with you, not for you. We provide you with expertise in the following areas:
Eoghan Kenny is founder and CEO of The Compliance Team, Ballinasloe Enterprise Centre, Ballinasloe. If your business needs guidance on being fully compliant you can visit their website below or email Eoghan.

This project was an initiative undertaken by The Museum of Country Life, Castlebar together with the Heritage Office, Galway Co Council and iCAN. As 2018 was the centenary of women voting for the first time the aim of the project was to highlight the achievements of women from various localities who have made a contribution to a local , national or international community in any aspect of life and who perhaps have never been recognised for their contribution. The exhibition had been on display in The Museum of Country Life, Turlough House, Castlebar during Oct and Nov 2018. It has been made available to us for March 9th courtesy of the Museum.
